The deadline for student submissions for the Cadenza is March 23. The Cadenza is an art and literary magazine publishing the work of students at Mars Hill College.
The staff of the magazine along with Carol Boggess, professor of English, are recruiting students for submissions for the 2010 edition. It will be unveiled on a special evening during which Asheville poet Glenis Richmond will perform. No date has been set.
Posters have been placed around campus to make students aware of the magazine along with the submission date.
The editor, Ali Andrzejewski, is offering to come to the classrooms to talk about the Cadenza and the requirements for submissions.
Last year's issue included many types of literary and visual creativity. The 2009 Cadenza offered an assortment of photographs, drawings, poetry, and short stories, all by students.
If a student is interested or has questions, contact Carol Boggess, cboggess@mhc.edu, or one of the staff members, Ali Andzejewski, Kristina Blackford, Wes Skidmore, Megan Weaver, and Emory Hensley.
